Bath Filmmaker and Photographer unveils ‘Unique Aerial Image’ exhibition in ArtBar, at Abbey Hotel Bath.

A dramatic solo photographic exhibition depicting talented local filmmaker and photographer SAM GILLESPIE’s aerial shots of Bath will adorn the walls of the ArtBar at Abbey Hotel Bath from Wednesday 13th April – Sunday 19th June 2022.

In light of the current situation in Ukraine, Sam and the Hotel are generously donating ALL proceeds to the following two charities – ‘HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH’ & ‘SUNFLOWER OF PEACE’.

Sam is a Bath based commercial filmmaker, photographer and CAA-approved drone operator who works with a range of international clients including Red Bull, Bath Rugby, Guinness and Bentley to name but a few. Sam’s work is nothing short of stunning, capturing the natural beauty of Bath so well, whilst adding his own creative style.

As director of Over The Top Drones, Sam has been granted special permissions from the CAA for operations in congested areas – something that permits him to create unique imagery in the hearts of our city. All work in the exhibition will be available for sale.

The Abbey Hotel’s Art Bar displays quarterly changing collections, overseen by resident art curator Emma Taylor, a Bath artist herself. The changing exhibitions encourage tourists and local Bath residents to learn more and discover Bath’s celebrated artistic heritage.

Sam created some incredibly powerful films and captured some breathtaking images of Bath during the pandemic, some of which feature in this exhibition. We are sure that the exhibition will be a real hit with both locals and tourists alike and we are thrilled that with Sam, we are able to support two very important charities who are working tirelessly to help those most affected by the war in Ukraine.
